“Bullies call my son mønkey, but he’s a gift from God” – Woman Shares her sad story (Watch)

People are born different and for some parents the birth of a child brings joy that most often lasts for a lifetime. When Zanziman Eli was born, he came as an answer to prayers of a childless couple who had been praying fervently for a child.

But he didn’t come in the form they were expecting, he came in special unlike all other children in the village located in southern Rwanda.

His looks made him the centre of attention and so did his manners as he lacks the sense of knowledge. He usually feeds on grass, banana and fresh fruits and spends his time in the bushes, running away from other people.

Bullies made fun of his looks and called him monkey, but his mother, an old woman now, says God answered her prayers for a child and he changed his life in a way she never imagined.

Afrimax documented a day in the life of Zanziman Eli and his mother, and she told her story of the daily struggles of raising a child with special needs with the stigma of society on her back. Watch the video below and share this post. Thank You.
