Churches are adhering to mask-wearing protocol than general public – MOH survey reveals

Dr. Aboagye of the ministry of health has revealed that a recent survey conducted in churches and the public on the adherence to the covid-19 protocols shows churches are masking up better than the general public.

Speaking at the minister’s briefing on Tuesday morning, he revealed that the 38 churches they surveyed, which ranged from small, medium and large membership, proper mask wearing was at 90%.

That figure is a significant improvement compared to the 47% of the general public surveyed who wore the masks properly.

4% of the church members were seen not wearing masks while 6% wore their masks incorrectly compared to the 29% of the general public who didn’t have their masks on while 24% of the public were not wearing the masks correctly.

The church has been concerned by government might introduce tighter restrictions in an effort to curb the rapidly rising Covid-19 figures. This news will come as a welcome news and encourage the church to adhere to the protocols even more to make their case of adherence to escape any further restriction.
