Ghanaians have shown lack of confidence in gov’t by voting out most ministers – Asiedu Nketiah

The general secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that the loss of parliamentary seats by many Ministers of state in the Akufo-Addo government is a sign the people of Ghana have lost confidence in the government.

Speaking at a press conference at the headquarters of the NDC in Adabraka, he said the fact that Ghanaians voted out some big names in government like Dr. Okoe Boye, Deputy minister for Health, Goerge Andah, Deputy minister for communications and other high profile ministers is a indicative of failure on the part of the Akufo-Addo government.

The NDC also called for the collation of results for constituencies that are currently outstanding as they believe their candidates have won in those constituencies.

Akufo-Addo Ministers lose en masse

Ministers in the current government lost en masse in the just ended election. In addition to the names mentioned prior, the minister for local government, Hajia Halima, deputy attorney general, Hon. Joseph Kpemka, deputy transport minister, Hon. Titus Glover, Fisheries Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, deputy minister for works and housing, Hon.
